What is a cookie?
COMM uses functional cookies to help the website function properly. Without the cookies, the website will not run optimally. These cookies help the website memorise information entered on various pages, save preferences and login details and read your browser settings to display the website properly. You will not be asked for your permission to place these strictly necessary cookies. You can delete functional cookies by changing your browser settings.
Analytical cookies let COMM keep track of and measure which parts of the site are visited most frequently. All the collected information (visitor numbers, average time spent, popular pages and topics, etc.) is used to generate statistics. Based on these statistics, we can optimise our website’s content and make it as easy as possible to navigate. These statistics cannot be retraced to specific individuals.
Our website also places a cookie for the American company Google, as part of their “Analytics” service. COMM uses this service to track and receive reports about how visitors use the website. Because COMM has entered into a processor agreement with Google, the ‘share data’ option with Google is disabled, Google does not process full IP addresses, and because we do not use other services offered by Google, we do not require your permission to place these cookies.
Social media buttons
With your permission, social media parties will also place cookies on your devices. Social media cookies let you read articles or watch videos (embedded content) from social media (such as YouTube) on our website. They also let you like or share content via Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, Google+ and LinkedIn by clicking a social media button. We do not know what these parties do with the cookies in question. To find out what these companies do with your (personal) data that are processed via these cookies, please consult the privacy statements of the social media parties in question (which are subject to frequent change).
Retargeting cookies are used to make targeted recommendations based on your browsing behaviour. By doing so, we hope to introduce you to information and promotions that you might find interesting.
